Told through the crackle of a vinyl record player…

While going about their daily lives, Stephanie Firth, Claire Patti, Leonie Axford and Stephanie McCorkelle realised they shared some passions: picnics, champagne, anything vintage, singing a cappella, and above all, jazz. They knew that this could be no coincidence. And so, The Velvetones were born. Now, they sing jazz a cappella, wearing vintage outfits, drinking champagne at picnics… and everywhere else.

The Velvetones are Melbourne’s very own female jazz vocal quartet. Inspired by the likes of Manhattan transfer, The Real Group, the Chordettes and The Andrews Sisters, these 4 sassy women have the art of vocal harmony, good fun, and humour down to a tee.
